Feudal System

Feudal System

The feudal system is a social system used in the Middle Ages. In the feudal system a serf would get a piece of land in return from the king or lord they worked for, a knight would get an honorary from a king or lord and protects them from attacks, the lord would receive rent from the serf who works for him, and the king would be the authority of a country and people.

Serfs, Servant, Peasant

In middle ages most of the people the lived at that time were serfs. Serfs have hard life. Serfs did not own anything so they worked for the lord or king. Serfs would usually work 6 days a week. They would barely any money to buy food.

Knight, Cavalier, Horseman

The knight were armed soldiers who would ride on horses. Knights would protect the land the lived on. The knight would usually be granted an honorary by the lord or monarch they chose to protect.

Lord, Noble,
Lords owned everything that was on their land. They owned the peasants, crops and village. When the king or lord died there firstborn would receive the throne. The king would give a piece of land to the peasant who worked for them. They would also receive rent from the peasant who lived on their land.

King, Monarch, Emperor
The monarch is at the top of the feudal system. The monarch give a piece of land to the lords in return for knights. They would try to make their military. Another thing they did was make new laws.
